For the fourth consecutive year, Airport International Group (AIG) - the Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) - has assisted the local NGO, Tkiyet Um Ali, in its efforts to alleviate hunger among families residing in Al Jizah, an underserved area located in the vicinity of QAIA.
AIG employees from various departments participated in the one-day activity that included the distribution of food packages in the area of Al Jizah. AIG also continued its annual gesture of welcoming QAIA passengers with dates and bottled water upon the ‘Maghrib’ call for prayer, creating a memorable experience for travelers and reflecting Jordan’s warmth and hospitality.
“Once again, we’re proud to partner with Tkiyet Um Ali in promoting social solidarity by supporting the community of Al Jizah, in which QAIA operates. By implementing both charitable initiatives, we are fulfilling AIG’s corporate social responsibility programs for the month of Ramadan. On this note, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a blessed Ramadan and to thank the employees who participated this year for their dedicated efforts in giving back to the community and for exemplifying AIG’s teamwork value,” commented Kjeld Binger, CEO of AIG.
