Amman, December 2016 - Within its ongoing efforts to contribute to the wellbeing of local communities in the vicinity of Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), Airport International Group (AIG) – the Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of QAIA – has launched its annual Winter Campaign in cooperation with Tkiyet Um Ali. The collaboration, which comes following years of partnerships between the two parties, was formalized in an agreement signed by Airport International Group CEO, Kjeld Binger, and Tkiyet Um Ali General Manager, Samer Balkar, on Tuesday 20 December, 2016.
During this year’s Winter Campaign, Airport International Group and Tkiyet Um Ali will collaborate on the distribution of 360 blankets, 157 heaters, and 157 kerosene canister vouchers to disadvantaged families in the Al Jizah, Um ar-Rassas and Al Muwagar areas. The items will be handed out by Airport International Group employees who volunteer to take part in the annual charitable campaign.

Our Winter Campaign has become not only an integral part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, but also a much-anticipated tradition among our employees who, each year, are eager to provide assistance to families in need and to alleviate their suffering throughout the season.”
In turn, Balkar expressed Tkiyet Um Ali’s appreciation to the Group for initiating the Winter Campaign, stating, “We thank Airport International Group for its efforts toward providing a warm winter to disadvantaged families living within poverty pockets in the Kingdom’s southern governorates. We always welcome such initiatives from our partners, who contribute to improving the lives of these families.”
